OBJECT Earn the most points by picking the winners of all 63 games
and the scores of the final three games of the NCAA Division I
Mens Basketball tournament. The unique feature
of this pool is the score prediction element because it gives you a 'second chance' to score points and win tickets. It does not matter if you did not pick the teams to get there.
NOTE: The NCAA defines the First Round as a series of four games on Monday and Tuesday prior to the tournament's official start on Thursday. They are not part of this contest. Rounds two through seven are the
rounds commonly known as the "tournament". SCORING SCHEDULE - EARN POINTS TWO WAYS: Game Predictions of the winning team in all 63 games: 3 points for each 2nd round winner
5 points for each 3rd round winner
8 points for each 4th round winner
12.5 points for each 5th round winner
20 points for each 6th round winner
30 points for predicting the tournament champion GAME PREDICTION DEADLINE 11:45am ET, Day 1 of the tournament
Score Predictions within 10 points of any team in any of the
three semifinal or championship games: 1 point for a prediction within 10 points
2 points for a prediction within 9 points
3 points for a prediction within 8 points
4 points for a prediction within 7 points
5 points for a prediction within 6 points
6 points for a prediction within 5 points
7 points for a prediction within 4 points
8 points for a prediction within 3 points
9 points for a prediction within 2 points
10 points for a prediction within 1 point
20 points for matching one team's score
50 points for matching both teams' scores in the same game
150 points for matching any three of the six final scores
SCORE PREDICTION DEADLINES: Semifinal games: 4:00pm ET the day of the games Championship game: 8:30pm ET the day of the game PRIZE SCHEDULE Grand Prize is a conditional prize payout of
$10,000, to be awarded to one of the following five Contestants for an exact
final score prediction of the championship game: Top four in total points after the sixth (semifinal) round
One Contestant with the most Score Prediction points during the sixth
(semifinal) round
All other Contestants are ineligible for $10,000 but will still accrue points toward First
Prize. If none of the five correctly predict the final score, the $10,000 Grand
Prize will not be awarded.
First Prize is a $500 AMEX Gift Card to the fan
with the most points after the championship game.
Ticket Credits will be awarded each round. In
rounds 2-5, they are based on Game Predictions and awarded to each round's top
Contestants (not by the overall standings at the conclusion of the round): Round 2 - Top 25% plus ties = $1 per Contestant
Round 3 - Top 25% plus ties = $1 per Contestant
Round 4 - Top 25% plus ties = $2 per Contestant
Round 5 - Top 25% plus ties = $2 per Contestant
In rounds 6 and 7, ticket credits are awarded based on Score
Predictions: $2 for a score prediction within 3 or 4 points of one team
$4 for a score prediction within 1 or 2 points of one team
$6 for matching the exact final score of one team
$10 for matching the exact final score of both teams in the same game
